Looking back on the past year, it’s hard to believe how much has happened. From STEM fairs at Elementary Schools to partnering with Mathnasium , from Holiday Toy drives to fundraising events, we’ve experienced a range of events that have shaped our world in different ways. As we reflect on this list of events, we’re reminded of both the challenges and the opportunities that lie ahead. Let’s use what we’ve learned from the past year to build a brighter future together.

TEDxJLHS Youth Event
We are happy to announce that we will be holding a TEDx conference as a part of our mission to encourage women to enter and pursue STEM! We are looking for some inspired high school students to speak at our conference and be featured as one of our panelists. Elementary Science Fair
June 10, 2023 @ Union City Library
With over 40 projects, we helped our kids develop their projects over the course of three months. We appreciate our students, mentors, and the Union City Library for their hard work, and we are happy to announce that we will make this science fair an annual event!!
Tom Kitayama STEM Fair
March 15, 2023 @ Tom Kitayama Elementary School
Our STEM Fair at Tom Kitayama was incredibly successful! Our most popular projects included candy engineering and our new rollercoaster. Thank you to Science Is Elementary for partnering with us to provide 600+ students with at-home science experiments and educational supplies.
2022 Holiday Donation Drive
December 6, 2022 – December 16, 2022
We partnered with the Alameda County Fire Department to host a toy drive at Logan! Our holiday toy drive was a big success- we donated 30+ toys to local kids for Christmas. The toys were dropped off at Station #32, near Itliong Vera Cruz Middle School.
NHUSD Math Nights
November 2 + 3, 2023 @ Pioneer and Delaine Eastine Elementary School
We volunteered at Mathnasium’s Math Nights at Pioneer and Eastin Elementary School! We spent both nights encouraging K-5th graders to have fun with math through interactive math games and other activities. We had fun, thank you for having us!
Marsh Hawk STEM Fair

We held a STEM Fair at the Marsh Hawk Day Camp as our last STEM Fair of the 2022 summer. Thank you Camp Marsh Hawk and Union City Mark Green Sports Center for having us!
Science Is Elementary Event

We joined Science Is Elementary in their event for making school supplies kits for the new school year. In total, 1500 kits were assembled and 1000 more were boxed up. Thank you Ms. Tzipor for having us!
Pioneer STEM Fair Day 2

We had our second science fair at Pioneer Elementary! We were asked back to the school to have the fair for 450+ kids of all grades in the New Haven Unified Summer BOOST Program. Thank you Pioneer Elementary for hosting us!
Pioneer STEM Fair Day 1

We went to Pioneer Elementary School and set up a science fair that introduces concepts of chemistry and physics to rising 4th and 5th graders. We loved the experience and the kids had fun too! Thank you Pioneer Elementary School and Ms. Miller for the experience!
